Summer

June 2020

It’s now near the end of June. The seasons have moved on and we’re now into summer.

Lockdown rules have relaxed and we can now drive to places for walks, days out etc, many shops are open and we can meet up with people in the outdoors. We’ve even had the grandchildren round to play in the garden. Next weekend, even more will change.

There’s still a big uncertainty though about how safe it is. The virus is still out there, so things won’t be the same for a long time to come.

The things I miss most about total lockdown are the quietness and peace with no traffic (or very little) on the roads. The walks every day, which were the only opportunity to get out (so we did) and having the time to get some different projects done without having to stop to organise workshops, childmind etc.

I must admit, it will be good to have a more normal life again. Haven’t enjoyed the last month so much. It’s just so hard for so many. But life goes on.

I've been doing some more writing and learned how to make a simple video. Have a look at 'The Search' under 'Poems'
